Temperature Sensor Calibration

Ensure you have a properly calibrated handheld temperature meter to perform the calibration. Do not use infrared thermometers.
After power-up or a power-cycle (including reboot via DyNet message), the UI temperature sensor runs an automatic recalibration process, adjusting to the ambient environment. During this process, which takes approximately 15 minutes, the panel may report fluctuating temperature and humidity values. Once complete, reported values will return to the specified accuracy level.
Temperature sensor calibration:

  1. Ensure that Multi-Temperature Aggregation (if used), is already configured.

  2. Set the temperature of the room to 22°C and allow 30 minutes for the room temperature and UI sensor readings to stabilise. Where possible, close doors, windows, and window coverings to eliminate external factors and maintain a stable temperature in the room.

  3. Identify the selected UI and place the handheld meter close to the sensor location (bottom edge of the UI).

  4. Monitor and wait for 3 minutes or until the handheld reading is stable.

  5. Request the current temperature from the panel and compare the difference (offset value).

  6. Update the offset value in the UI Device Properties > Temperature Sensor > Measured temperature offset (°C) and sb icon save to device Save to device (F12).

  7. Repeat steps 4-5 to confirm the calibrated final temperature reading is within a 5% tolerance range.

  8. Repeat for all user interfaces.
