BACnet Configuration Wizard
The BACnet Configuration Wizard enables you to define and map the BACnet points required for your project. The BACnet client software can then monitor the system from any of the defined point types and can control the system with the following point types:

Preset
-
Channel Level
-
Temperature Setpoint.

After completing your system configuration, save the job file/database.

In System view, select the PDDEG-S, open the BACnet editor, and click the
button. The wizard automatically loads the BACnet points from the areas and devices in your job. -
Deselect the BACnet Point Types that are not required for BACnet integration, then click
.To assist you in staying within the maximum number of points allowed for your license, the Licensed Point Count and Selected BACnet Point Count is shown in the Licensing Information box at the bottom of the window. -
In the BACnet Objects tree, select the required objects.
Click the + or - sign to expand and contract the tree. -
In the Point Types section, deselect the point types not required for each area or device, then click
.The BACnet Configuration Wizard creates a BACnet point name and Point ID for each defined point. The point names are generated according to the order below and the Object Type. Site name/Floor name/Area name or Device name/Channel name/Driver name/[point type] -
The wizard shows a list of the generated BACnet Point Names, Point IDs, and Point Data Types.
Click the button to create a spreadsheet of your BACnet points to give to the BACnet consultant. The BACnet point table must be agreed to and signed off to complete BACnet integration.If you want to change the autogenerated BACnet Point Names and Point ID numbers, you can edit them in the CSV file and click the
button to reload them into the wizard. -
Click the
button to upload the JSON file to the PDDEG-S. SB shows a message when the configuration is successfully uploaded to the device. Click to continue. -
Click the
button to close the wizard. -
Reboot the gateway for changes to take effect.
To save to the device, ensure that the PDDEG-S has an IP address and that SB can establish a HTTPS connection. |
