Signify Certificate Installation
This section explains how to install the security certificate for each major operating system.
This enables a secure connection between the operating device’s web browser and the EG. Connecting from a new device/browser for the first time triggers a warning message such "Your connection is not private", or similar.
These instructions are written for Chromium-based browsers. Other browsers require similar steps, but for clarity we recommend also using a Chromium-based browser. |
Download Certificate

In the web browser, go to
\https://[localhost]/Signify.cer
, or you can make your own SB certificate.To establish a HTTPS connection with Dynalite network devices using a System Builder certificate, it is required to install SB root CA certificate file in client systems. You can use the SB Manage Certificate feature from a previous job file to download the root CA certificate file from a connected network device such as a PDEG, and reuse this job file in future when you need to download the certificate. -
If a warning such as "Your connection is not private" appears, click
. -
Click Proceed to [localhost]/(unsafe). The certificate is downloaded to the device.
When given the option to open the file, ignore and click × to close the message.
iOS Device

In Settings, select Profile Downloaded >.

Select Signify Dynalite System Builder and tap Install.

A warning appears. Tap Install.

A popup appears to confirm. Tap Install.

Tap Done.

Clear the browser cache and close the web browser.
Android Device

open Settings > Security > Other security settings > Credential torage.

Tap Install from device storage.
-
Select the file
signify.cer
and tap Done. -
Enter your screen lock (e.g. pattern, PIN code, etc.).

Tap OK.
The device must have a screen lock enabled to install the certificate. If you haven’t defined a screen lock, you will be asked to set one up. -
Give the certificate the name Signify.

Under Used for, select VPN and apps and tap OK.

A message that the installation was successful appears.

Clear the browser cache and close the web browser.
Windows PC

Find the certificate in the file system.

Double-click the certificate to start installation. Click

Select Current User. Click

Select Place all certificates in the following store. Click

Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click

A Security Warning appears. Click

A message that the import was successful appears. Click

to close the Certificate popup. -
Clear the browser cache and close the web browser.

Open the web-browser and go to
\https://[localhost]
. Log in to the system. -
Confirm that the closed padlock icon is displayed in the address bar. You can click the padlock to see the details of the connection and certificate.
