Configure Matter on the PDDEG-S:
-
Connect SB to the PDDEG-S
-
In System View, move or create devices to be exposed to the Matter hub under the PDDEG-S (this is only essential if using offsets in your project).
-
Configure the job to make it more suitable for Matter operation:
-
In Areas View, you can hide individual channels from the Matter hub by setting their Channel Properties > Category to Hidden.
-
Set each channel’s Category and Type. (Lighting, HVAC, Curtain, etc.)
The PDDEG-S supports a maximum of 128 channels/Matter accessories exposed to the Matter hub.
-
-
In System View, right-click the PDDEG-S and select Gateway Actions > Upload Configuration >
Upload Logical Configuration to upload the Project.xml file to the gateway. -
Set the PDDEG-S Device Properties > Ethernet Applications > Matter Enabled to Enabled.
-
Select the Ports tab and under the IPv4 section, enter the IP address for the PDDEG-S (or click
Load From Device ( F11 ) if the gateway has an existing IP address).
-
Select the Users tab and click
Add. -
Enter a Name, Password, and Confirm Password for the new user.
-
Click
Save to Device ( F12 ). -
Click File >
Save ( Ctrl+S ) to save your changes to the job file.
Connect Matter:
-
On your web browser, navigate to the PDDEG-S IP address.
-
If prompted, enter the username and password for the user you created, then click Login.
-
Ensure the PDDEG-S has an internet connection, indicated by the
cloud status icon in the top right corner of the Settings page. -
Click About > Matter Pairing.
-
Open your preferred smart home app and follow the required steps to add a new Matter device.
-
Scan the QR code with your smart home app to add the PDDEG-S to your smart home system as a Matter bridge.
If the gateway cannot contact the cloud, the QR code will be blurred.
-
Control channels (as listed in Project.xml) are added as Matter accessories.
-
Organise the Dynalite control channels. The smart home app should allow you to identify the location and rename channels as needed. If you re-upload a new Project.xml file, you may need to reconfigure the Matter accessories in your smart home app.
