PDTS
The Philips Dynalite PDTS v2 is a wall-mounted colour touchscreen with both Ethernet and DyNet RS-485 network connections, and can act as both a user interface and an Ethernet gateway for the Dynalite system. It offers temperature, humidity, and proximity sensing along with an inbuilt real-time clock to support local task scheduling.

The PDTS can self-configure for simplified commissioning, using your project.xml file from System Builder to populate area/channel names, onscreen controls, and any scheduled events created in SB (or via the interface) and saved to the device.
You can also create customised user interfaces with the PDTS UI Creator app (Windows only) or your own web pages.
Inputs and Outputs
The PDTS includes the following inputs and outputs:
Interface | Description |
---|---|
Touch |
HTML UI (built-in or custom) |
Sensors |
Proximity - The sensor uses infrared technology to detect motion. When a user approaches the device, it initiates a wall-wash lighting effect to encourage interaction. Ambient light - An internal light sensor measures ambient lux levels and adjusts the wall-wash lighting effect accordingly. Temperature - The temperature sensor measures the temperature where the device is mounted. The value can be displayed (in °C or °F) on the standby screen and communicated to other devices. Humidity - Accurately reports relative humidity levels as a percentage. The value can be displayed on the standby screen and communicated to other devices. |
RS-485 |
Supports standard DyNet protocols. |
Ethernet |
Supports standard DyNet protocols over IPv4/IPv6 UDP/TCP. HTTPS port 443 for firmware upgrade and file transfers. HTTPS Webserver
|
Power |
12-24 VDC power supply |
Web apps are only displayed locally on the screen. They are not served externally over the network. No physical ports are exposed when mounted. To access the Ethernet or RS-485 ports, the touchscreen must be removed from the wall (refer to the PDTS Installation Instructions). |
