BBMD Server

A BBMD (BACnet/IP Broadcast Management Device) server is critical to the majority of BACnet integration jobs. It allows BACnet devices to communicate even if they are on different subnets, which is not possible with conventional UDP BACnet.

Connect to a BBMD Server:

  1. In System View, select the PDDEG-S BACnet editor.

  2. In the lower section, click sb icon add Add and select sb icon bbmd server BBMD Server from the dropdown list.

  3. Ask the BACnet consultant for the BBMD connection details.

  4. Enter the IP Address/Hostname and Port Number of the BBMD server.

  5. Press F12 or click sb icon save to device Save to Device.

  6. Click sb icon send device reset Send Device Reset.

  7. Click the sb icon save Save icon or press Ctrl+S to save your job.
