Matter Integration

Prerequisites

  • PDTS v2 with firmware v4.09 or higher

  • SB v5.49 or higher

  • UI Creator v3.1.8 or higher

  • Matter-compliant hub

  • PDTS has internet access to generate the Matter QR code

Configure Matter:

  1. Connect SB to the PDTS.

  2. In System View, move or create devices to be exposed to the Matter hub under the PDTS (this is only essential if using offsets in your project).

  3. Configure the job to make it more suitable for Matter operation:

    1. In Areas View, you can hide individual channels from the Matter hub by setting their Channel Properties > Category to Hidden.

    2. Set each channel’s Category and Type: Lighting, HVAC, Curtain, etc.

      The PDTS supports a maximum of 128 channels/Matter accessories exposed to the Matter hub.

  4. Upload Project.xml file to the PDTS.

  5. Launch UI Creator and create your project. Ensure that the UI includes a link to the Settings page.

  6. Upload UIC pages to the PDTS.

  7. Enable Matter setting in System view > Device Properties > Ethernet Applications > Matter Enabled

  8. Click sb icon save to device Save to Device ( F12 ).

  9. Click File > sb icon save Save ( Ctrl+S ) to save your changes to the job file.

Connect Matter:

  1. On the PDTS, select pdts icon settings Settings > Change user.

  2. Select Admin user and enter the Administrator PIN.

  3. Ensure the PDTS has an internet connection. Look for the Cloud status icon in the bottom left corner of the Settings screen.

  4. Press Enable Matter.

  5. Open your preferred smart home app and follow the steps the app to add a Matter device.

  6. Scan the QR Code with your smart home app to add the PDTS to your smart home environment. The PDTS is loaded into the app as a matter bridge.

  7. Other control channels (in Project.xml) are added as Matter accessories and are loaded into the app.

  8. Organise the Dynalite control channels. The smart home app should allow you to identify the location and rename channels as needed.

If you re-upload a new Project.xml file, you may need to reconfigure the Matter accessories in your smarthome app.
