Configure Switch Off Warning Relationships

Area Cascading areas can be created directly on the floor plan, which shows the relationships between the configured areas.

Click the Highlight Area Cascading Areas icon to show Area Cascading areas on the floor plan. As the cursor hovers over each area, they are dynamically shaded in contrasting colours to show their Area Cascading relationships.

Add a Switch Off Warning area to the floor plan:
  1. Draw the Switch Off Warning areas.

  2. Right-click on the background area and select sb icon area cascading Area Cascading > sb icon switch off warning Add Switch Off Warning to open the Edit Switch Off Warning dialog.

  3. Click on each area on the floor plan that you want to make a Switch Off Warning area. Selected areas are shaded in pink on the floor plan and added to the dialog list.

  4. After selecting all required areas, click the OK button.

  5. To edit Switch Off Warning, right-click a configured area and select sb icon area cascading Area Cascading > sb icon switch off warning edit Edit Switch Off Warning to open the Edit Switch Off Warning dialog.

Configure Switch Off Warning Properties

Standard properties are shown in bold. Advanced properties are shown in bold italics.

Initially only the basic fields are shown. To reveal all fields, click the sb icon advanced  Advanced button.

Add a Switch Off Warning area:
  1. Select the job name in the Areas View tree and click the Area Cascading tab, or click Tools > sb icon area cascading Area Cascading Editor.

  2. Click sb icon add Add > sb icon switch off warning Switch Off Warning.

  3. In the Properties section:

    • Enter a Name for the Switch Off Warning function

    • Set Enabled to True to enable the Switch Off Warning function. You can also set this to False to temporarily disable the function without deleting it.

    • Set Enabled at startup to True if required. You can set this to False to leave it disabled initially and enable later by using a DyNet message.

    • Set the Occupation timeout (seconds). This determines how long each area waits before it recalls the Standby preset.

    • Set the Standby timeout (seconds). This determines how long each area waits in Standby mode before it recalls the Unoccupied preset.

      If a user recalls an Occupied preset during the Standby timeout period (typically by triggering a motion sensor or from a user interface), the Occupation timeout resets.

    • Select the Standby preset. This preset is recalled when the Occupation timeout expires.

    • Enter the Standby fade (ms). This is the fade time when the parent area recalls its Standby preset.

    • Select the Unoccupied preset. This preset is recalled after the Standby timeout expires.

    • Set Unoccupied fade (ms). This is the fade time when the parent area recalls its Unoccupied preset.

    • Set the Occupied presets. This is a list of presets for which the area will recall the Standby preset after the Occupation timeout expires.

  4. In the Areas section:

    • Click sb icon add Add to open the Area Selection dialog and add one or more child areas for the Switch Off Warning function.

    • Select the child area(s) from the list and click OK.

    • Select a child area and check/configure the following Properties:

      • Area - Displays the name of the area.

      • Configured on Device - The device to be configured for Switch Off Warning properties.

        This is automatically set to the most appropriate device available in the area, but you can click the Change button to open the Device Selection dialog. The Items column indicates the number of available Area Cascading Object slots in each device’s memory.

  • You can add multiple areas to the same Switch Off Warning function.

  • Tick the sb icon checkbox tick Modify all Areas checkbox to modify properties for all included areas at once.

You have now configured the areas for Switch Off Warning function.
