BACnet Configuration Wizard

The sb icon bacnet wizard BACnet Configuration Wizard enables you to define and map the BACnet points required for your project. The BACnet client software can then monitor the system from any of the defined point types and can control the system with the following point types:

  • Preset

  • Channel Level

  • Temperature Setpoint.

Configure BACnet Gateway:
  1. After completing your system configuration, save the job file/database.

  2. In System View, right-click the PDDEG-S and select sb icon bacnet wizard BACnet Configuration… to open the wizard. The wizard automatically loads the BACnet points from the areas and devices in your job.

The BACnet Configuration Wizard creates a BACnet point name and Point ID for each defined point. The point names are generated according to the order below and the Object Type. Site name/Floor name/Area name or Device name/Channel name/Driver name/[point type]
  6. The wizard shows a list of the generated BACnet Point Names, Point IDs, and Point Data Types.
Click the Export To CSV button to create a spreadsheet of your BACnet points to give to the BACnet consultant. The BACnet point table must be agreed to and signed off to complete BACnet integration.

If you want to change the autogenerated BACnet Point Names and Point ID numbers, you can edit them in the CSV file and click the Import CSV button to reload them into the wizard.
