Monitor Window
The Monitor Window lets you see what’s happening by showing you all system activity and communication between SB and DyNet.
The Monitor Window has four views:
Application Log
The Application Log records a message for all actions undertaken by SB with an ID sequence number and the message type, date and time.
Network Log
The Network Log is the most commonly used monitor window. The network log records messages (hexadecimal data) travelling on the network. It shows messages sent by SB as well as messages sent by other devices. A description of the message is provided as well as the message direction.
DALI Network Log
This network log records DALI messages (hexadecimal data) travelling on the selected DALI line, showing messages sent/forwarded by the controller as well as other devices on the line. A description of the message is provided as well as the message direction.
To toggle the network log for a DALI line/universe, right-click the DALI controller and select
Monitor DALI Network > Universe [X] > Start/Stop Monitoring
DALI network logging requires a constant stream of data tunneling messages from the controller to SB, significantly increasing DyNet traffic and potentially interfering with other DyNet operations. Ensure that you Stop Logging when no longer required. |
Command Monitor
The Command Monitor shows the status of SB messages sent to the network, and provides a higher level summary of commands sent from SB.
