Add Autojoin Devices
This method currently works for all Zigbee 3.0 Philips Hue devices (identified by the
icon on the device and packaging).
-
In System View, select the PDZG-E and open the Zigbee Network tab, then click the
Open Zigbee button.
-
Power on the devices to be added.
-
In the
Zigbee Network dialog, click .
-
Once all applicable devices have been discovered, click to exit the dialog and wait for SB to load the discovered devices from the PDZG-E.
-
Click
Add to Job to add all (or only selected) devices to the job file as needed.
-
Added devices are listed in System View under the PDZG-E >
Luminaires. You can now rename and configure each device as needed.SB identifies Philips Hue devices, including smart plugs, as generic Zigbee luminaires. Devices that report their type are named accordingly as shown in the screenshot above. After adding devices to the job, you can manually rename them in the System View device tree for easy identification.
-
In Areas View, move each Zigbee channel/output from
Unassigned Area to the appropriate
Area. If required, you can also drag the channels to their locations on the
Floor Plan.
Wireless drivers can be assigned a logical address and localised in the same way as other outputs by using
Localise Lamps or flashing from the Areas > Unassigned Devices tab.
-
Set each channel’s Channel Properties > Type:
-
White Ambiance: Tunable White
-
White and Colour Ambiance: RGBWAF
-
Smart Plug: Relay
-
-
In each area’s Presets tab, adjust the Level and RGBWAF/WWCW setting for each preset as desired.
-
In System View select the PDZG-E and press F12 or click
Save to Device.
|
After saving device data, the PDZG-E automatically writes any required scene/group updates to associated Zigbee devices. Due to Zigbee’s bandwidth limitations, this can take more than 10-20 minutes to complete. You will not be able to open the Zigbee network to add autojoin devices until the process is complete. You can monitor the progress % in the Network Log.

Press the button for approx. 10 seconds until the LED flashes orange five or more times.
-
Release the button.
